Butte County District Court Limits
Idaho Court Administrative Rule 32 controls public access to Idaho court records. Sealed cases, sealed event entries, juvenile restrictions, presentence investigations, certain warrant support materials, guardianship and conservatorship details, personal identifiers, and safety or security records may be exempt or redacted. iCourt also warns that sealed cases and information exempt under court order or ICAR 32 will not appear in the public portal. Orders to seal may remain public even when the sealed record does not appear.
For Butte County District Court users, the practical rule is simple: search iCourt first for general public case status, then use the courthouse kiosk or court clerk request route for documents. If the record is restricted, the clerk may not be able to release it without legal authority or a court order. If the matter is federal, use PACER or the federal clerk instead.
